Who I Am

I'm Mutsinzi Ivan, a Freelance Currency Field Service Technician and Web Designer based in Kampala, Uganda, with a passion for solving complex electro-mechanical problems and delivering reliable technical solutions.

With 2+ years specializing in Giesecke+Devrient banknote processing systems, I provide both onsite and remote corrective and preventive maintenance on BPS C5, BPS C2, BPS C1, and Pronote 1.5F machines for major banks across East and Southern Africa.

Currently available as a freelancer — I can travel to your site or support your team remotely to keep your currency processing operations running at peak efficiency.

  • Installed and configured G+D banknote processing machines — BPS C5, BPS C2, BPS C1, and Pronote 1.5F — including site acceptance tests and operator training.
  • Performed corrective maintenance: on-site diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical faults, component replacements, and full system diagnostics to restore operations with minimal downtime.
  • Conducted scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services — cleaning, calibration, sensor checks, and mechanical inspections on BPS C5, BPS C2, BPS C1, and Pronote 1.5F to keep machines at peak efficiency.
  • Handled daily breakdown calls, diagnosing and resolving critical faults on live banknote processing systems under time-sensitive SLA commitments.
  • Delivered professional customer service — training bank operators, documenting service reports, and maintaining strong client relationships across all deployed sites.
  • Conducted weekly preventive health checks maintaining 99% system uptime.
  • Led 3 successful POC deployments for BPS C5 at Stanbic Uganda, SGA Uganda, and CRDB Tanzania — directly resulting in new equipment purchases.
  • Provided onsite and remote technical support across Uganda, Tanzania, Namibia, Mauritius, Zambia, and Angola.
  • Installed Dell R750 server hardware in MTN Data Centres for the MUNA Project.
  • Managed spare parts inventory, SLA/non-SLA parts tracking, and technical documentation.
